UNC senior attacker Ela Hazar put together arguably the best game of her career Tuesday afternoon, as she scored three goals and dished out a career-high five assists to lead the fourth-ranked UNC women’s lacrosse team to a 12-1 road victory against the Elon Phoenix.

The Tar Heels (5-2) also received three goals apiece from Marie McCool and Katie Hoeg, while freshman star Jamie Ortega chipped in a goal and an assist of her own.

McCool scored the opening goal less than a minute into the game, and UNC extended its lead to 5-0 before the midway point of the first half.

It was total domination over a lesser opponent that has lost all six of its games so far in 2018.

Stephanie Asher scored the lone goal for Elon, but not until late in the second half with her team trailing 12-0.
