After dominating Louisville this past weekend for a career-high seven goals and one assist, UNC junior midfielder Marie McCool was named the ACC’s Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The 20th-ranked Cardinals jumped out to a 7-3 lead over the No. 2 Tar Heels this past weekend, before McCool rattled off six consecutive scores to help lead UNC to victory.

For her incredible efforts, she was also named the Epoch/US Lacrosse Player of the Week.

McCool is currently second on the team with 35 goals this season, all of which have played a large role in UNC’s 12-1 record.

She is also one of two active college players on the U.S. National Team roster for this summer’s Women’s Lacrosse World Cup set to be played in England.
