As he continues to try and play his way into a full-time roster spot in the NBA, former UNC standout Theo Pinson was selected Tuesday to the Midseason All-NBA G-League East Team.

Pinson is playing on a two-way contract this year, and has split time between the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and the Long Island Nets of the NBA G-League.

The Greensboro native has averaged 20.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 36.0 minutes per game in 24 appearances with Long Island this season.

This includes posting the first triple double in franchise history with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists on Dec. 28 at Wisconsin. Pinson also scored 43 points for Long Island–the most by any player for the team this season–back on Jan. 10 at Maine.

In 11 NBA games this season with Brooklyn, Pinson has averaged 5.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 14.7 minutes per outing.
