A stretch of East Weaver Street in Carrboro is set to close during the nighttime hours of Wednesday, August 9 and Thursday, August 10 for work related to Google Fiber installation. The stretch is located between North Greensboro and East Main Streets near Weaver Street Market.
The road closure will begin at 10 p.m. Wednesday night and last until 6 a.m. Thursday morning. It will close again at 10 p.m. Thursday night and last until 6 a.m. Friday morning. The Town of Carrboro is warning of associated noise expected from the work.
During work hours, northbound traffic coming from South Greensboro Street will be directed to turn left on West Weaver Street, turn left again on West Main Street and then turn left again onto West Main Street where it intersects with Jones Ferry Road.
