UPDATE: The Chapel Hill Police Department shared an update at 9:44 p.m. on Wednesday saying Omareon Owens has been located.


The Chapel Hill Police Department is requesting the community’s help to locate a missing teen.

Omareon Owens was last seen around 1 p.m. on Monday, April 12 in the area of North Graham Street.

He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and could be wearing a green and tan jacket, black jeans, black and white Jordan sneakers, and either a black beanie, wave cap, or do-rag. Officials say he may also be seen with a pink backpack.

According to the press release, Omareon frequently visits downtown Chapel Hill and the Hargraves Community Center.
