Two more suspects have been arrested in connection with the robbery of an ABC store near Mebane last month.

Orange County authorities said that two 20-year-old suspects – Jamel Williams and Trevon Ward – were arrested on Wednesday and charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, one count of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Williams, Ward and Bradford Perry Jr., who was arrested two days after the robbery, are accused in an armed robbery at an ABC store on July 17 where two suspects allegedly had handguns and stole a customer’s wallet, the cash register drawer and two bottles of liquor.

The suspects drove from the scene heading toward Durham, where the suspect vehicle collided with a State Highway Patrol cruiser. One suspect was able to drive the vehicle from the scene, while dashcam footage showed two other suspects running from the scene of the crash, according to law enforcement.

Vehicle information led to the arrest of Perry and additional evidence from the vehicle led to the other two suspects, authorities said Wednesday.

“We are pleased to have arrested all three individuals involved in this crime,” Orange County Sheriff Charles Blackwood said in a release. “This was a very dangerous situation and we are grateful for the assistance of the Durham Police Department. Such partnerships essentially extend the borders of our county and allow us to work together to make both communities safer.”

Anyone with additional information regarding the investigation is asked to call Sergeant Jeff Ray with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office at (919) 245-2975.
