The Orange County Sheriff’s Office released photos of suspects on Wednesday in a one-month-old armed robbery and aggravated assault case investigated at the Buckhorn Flea Market and Jockey Lot.

The alert from authorities said the incident stems from a vendor report on April 7, which claims they were robbed by a woman and a man who used a handgun and a knife to threaten him. The pair robbed the victim of cash and second-hand electronics, according to the release.

Photos released by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office show a man and a woman investigators say they are seeking the public’s help to identify. The pictures show a Black man, who the sheriff’s office described as 6-foot tall and having a thin build, close-cropped hair, and a short goatee. The woman is described as 5-foot-5 — but neither the photos or Wednesday’s release share any discernable features for her.

The sheriff’s office said patrons at the flea market reported seeing the pair of suspects at the jockey lot on prior occasions to the robbery. Deputies were also told the couple may have had two small children with them on the day of the incident, according to the release.

The Buckhorn Flea Market is outside of Mebane and just off Buckhorn Road, south of the Interstate 40 exchange and Exit 157. The market is only open on the weekends, with April 7 falling on a Sunday.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said anyone who can identify the party or has more information about the robbery at the Buckhorn Flea Market is encouraged to contact Investigator T. Hall at 919-345-2905.
