The Town of Hillsborough and UNC Health will hold a drive-through coronavirus screening this Friday, June 5.
The screening and testing event will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. at Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church, located at 5124 N.C. 86, north of Hillsborough.
Members of the community who have symptoms of COVID-19, have had contact with someone who has tested positive for the novel coronavirus or are at high risk for becoming ill from it are eligible and should call 984-215-5895 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to preregister.
Those with appointments will be prioritized and testing will be offered while supplies last.
The town asks attendees to not bring extra people to the testing site. Every person will be given a mask to wear while they wait to be tested.
According to the town, “If you have insurance, your insurance company will cover the cost of the test. You will not pay a copay for the test. If you do not have insurance, you will not be billed for a test.”
