In episode 11 of “Inside Voices,” join host Kevin “Kaze” Thomas for a conversation with Karim Jarrett — local notable artist, comedian, host and father. This particular team-up might be familiar to listeners of Intelligently Ratchet, and now these two voices are together again for a conversation on “Inside Voices” that ranges from the verdict in the case of Breonna Taylor’s killing to voting in Louisville.

“It’s one of those things where like, when you’re independent like that, you don’t have to say the right thing,” said Jarrett. “Because if you’re talking on, you know, radio shows and everything like that — the difference between barbershop talk and being on a radio talk show is this: when you come in there, you have a certain cause, you don’t want to offend, or take your point to a certain place, but the realness is barbershop … If you could record your your favorite politician when he’s with his barber … when you get in those places, that’s when that can start happening. … Forget whoever you got behind you speak your piece. If you don’t agree with something, then here it is.”

Listen below for the full conversation between Kaze and Karim, and check back next week for a new installment of “Inside Voices” on 97.9 The Hill and Chapelboro.com.
