The Chapel Hill Media Group (including 97.9 The Hill and Chapelboro.com) has a new ownership team! Former owners Chris Ehrenfeld, Jim Kitchen and Mark Vitali have sold the company to a group of investors including longtime 97.9 The Hill general manager Aubrey Williams. (The team also includes Mark Killian, David Staley, and two former 97.9 The Hill staffers, John Stillman and Walter Storholt.)

Earning his PhD from the University of North Carolina, he taught US and World History at several universities in the piedmont North Carolina for several decades. He served as chairman of the Chatham County board of commissioners. He is a firm believer in American democracy and trusts that the constitution will hold firm now as it has in past crises despite the broken, distempered electorate.
