UNC shared the schedule for its women’s soccer program fall games and head coach Anson Dorrance’s 45th season with the team on Wednesday.

The program, which finished 2020 with an 18-2-0 record, made it to the NCAA College Cup semifinal round in May before falling to Santa Clara. The NCAA and Atlantic Coast Conference split up its soccer seasons due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the fall of 2021 marks the return of a more traditional season calendar.

The Tar Heels’ season opener is scheduled for Thursday, August 19 against Washington in Chapel Hill. Other home non-conference games for Carolina include facing Stanford, Northwestern and Arkansas. Non-conference road matchups are planned against Illinois, Ohio State, Florida and UCF.

In ACC play, UNC will host rivals Duke, as well as Virginia Tech, Clemson and Virginia in September. National championship runner-up Florida State will visit Dorrance Field on October 21 before UNC plays Notre Dame for senior night on October 24. Away games against conference opponents include matchups against Pittsburgh, Boston College and NC State. UNC will close its regular season play on October 29 with a road contest against Miami.

Season tickets for games at Dorrance Field are set to go on sale Thursday, August 5, and will start at $35. Single-game tickets will go on sale beginning August 16.
