A day after the UNC men’s basketball team revealed its full regular-season ACC schedule, the women’s program did the same. Like the men’s program, the women’s program returns four of five starters and is expected to compete for a conference title.

Carolina begins its conference schedule at home on December 29, when the team hosts Florida State in Carmichael Arena. Several notable games stand out on the schedule, including a home date with Notre Dame on January 8. The Fighting Irish, like the Tar Heels, are coming off a Sweet 16 appearance last season.

Carolina will take a tough road trip to the KFC Yum! Center to take on Louisville on February 5. The Cardinals are coming off a Final Four appearance last season, but fell to the Tar Heels in a thriller in Carmichael Arena, 66-65.

Three-time defending conference champion NC State will visit Chapel Hill on January 15, with a return game in Raleigh on February 16. The Wolfpack swept Carolina last season, and the Tar Heels have not won at NC State since Courtney Banghart took over as head coach in 2019.

Duke will come to Carmichael Arena on January 19, and Carolina will visit the Blue Devils on their Senior Day on February 26. Last season, UNC swept Duke for the first time since 2014.

Finally, UNC will celebrate Senior Day on February 23 against Virginia Tech. It will be the final home game for guard Eva Hodgson and forward Malu Tshitenge.

Carolina fans will be able to get their first look at both the women’s and men’s teams on the night of September 30, when the Smith Center hosts ‘Live Action with Carolina Basketball.’ The women’s team will officially open its season on November 9, when it hosts Jackson State in Carmichael Arena.
