The UNC men’s basketball team now knows its full regular-season schedule. The ACC announced the conference portion of the slate Tuesday, and it includes 20 games over the span of three months.

The first ACC game will take the Tar Heels to Blacksburg to face defending ACC Tournament champions Virginia Tech on December 4. Though the Hokies beat Carolina in last season’s ACC semifinals, UNC emerged from Blacksburg’s Cassell Coliseum victorious earlier in February.

UNC’s ACC home opener will come six days later, when Georgia Tech visits Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels beat the Yellow Jackets 88-65 in the Smith Center last season.

After a three-week ACC layoff which includes the CBS Sports Classic in New York, the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte and the holiday break, the conference schedule begins in earnest with a visit to Pittsburgh on either December 30 or 31. UNC will be eager for revenge on the Panthers, who stunned the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill last season. It ended up being Carolina’s final regular-season loss.

Other notable dates include a January 10 visit to Charlottesville to face Virginia, where UNC has not won in more than a decade. NC State visits Chapel Hill for the first of two matchups on January 21, with the second game in Raleigh scheduled for February 19. Carolina also plays two games with Wake Forest: one in Chapel Hill on January 4 and one in Winston-Salem on February 7. UNC has lost two straight road games to the Demon Deacons, including a blowout last season.

And of course, Carolina will play two games with Duke. The first will come in Cameron Indoor Stadium on February 4, in the rivalry debut for new Blue Devils head coach Jon Scheyer. Duke comes to Chapel Hill on March 4, which is the regular-season finale and UNC’s Senior Night. It will mark the final home games for Leaky Black, Pete Nance and, in all likelihood, Armando Bacot and Caleb Love.
