The UNC women’s basketball program has confirmed its full non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 regular season.

Several of the Tar Heels’ fixtures have already been announced: UNC will face Oklahoma in Paris as part of the “Oui Play” event Nov. 2; the game will be the season opener. Afterward, UNC travels back stateside to face South Carolina in Charlotte as part of the Ally Tipoff on Nov. 8.

Carolina’s home opener comes against North Carolina Central on Nov. 11, but the Tar Heels will get right back on the road after that: UNC travels to Penn for a rare road game on Nov. 14 before heading to Orlando for games against Texas Tech (Nov. 19 at 6 p.m.) and Alabama (Nov. 21 at 5 p.m.) as part of the WBCA Showcase.

The final eight games of UNC’s non-conference schedule will all be at home, starting with Gardner-Webb on Nov. 24. The marquee matchup sees LSU visit Chapel Hill on Dec. 2 as part of the SEC-ACC Challenge. In addition, UNC will host Army (Nov. 27), Brown (Nov. 29), Elon (Dec. 6), Winthrop (Dec. 9), Norfolk State (Dec. 21) and UNC-Wilmington (Dec. 28). With the exception of the games in Orlando, tip-off times have yet to be announced.

“I don’t have in my contract that I have to win a certain number of games to get paid,” UNC head coach Courtney Banghart said Tuesday. “It’s about how can I get my team most ready to advance in March and April? And I think us competing early is gonna help with that. We’ve got a very tough non-conference schedule that we spent a lot of time on and we feel good about.”
