The UNC women’s basketball program announced the ACC portion of its 2026-27 regular season schedule Wednesday afternoon.
The Tar Heels will play three ACC games before the New Year, two of which will come at Carmichael Arena. The conference schedule starts with a bang, as rival NC State visits Chapel Hill Sunday, Dec. 13. Georgia Tech comes to town four days later before Carolina finishes off its non-conference schedule with games against Norfolk State (Dec. 21) and UNC-Wilmington (Dec. 28).
Among the notable home fixtures are back-to-back matchups with Notre Dame (Jan. 28), Duke (Jan. 31) and Virginia Tech (Feb. 7). Virginia, fresh off a run to the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16, visits Carmichael Arena for the Tar Heels’ Senior Day Feb. 25.
UNC will make several long road trips in conference play, including a journey to the west coast to face both Cal (Jan. 21) and Stanford (Jan. 24). Carolina also visits Louisville (Jan. 10) and will close out the 2026-27 regular season with its traditional visit to Cameron Indoor Stadium to face Duke Sunday, Feb. 28. The Tar Heels and Blue Devils split their two meetings last season. Tip-off times and TV designations for the ACC contests are yet to be announced.

The 2026-27 season will be Carolina’s eighth under the leadership of head coach Courtney Banghart. UNC finished last season 28-8, hosted NCAA Tournament games at Carmichael Arena and reached the tournament’s Sweet 16 for the second consecutive year.
