Senior midfielder Bridgette Andrzejewski scored on a diving header on Saturday night in Chapel Hill to lift the third-ranked UNC women’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory over the No. 8 Clemson Tigers.

The goal–which came in the 55th minute–was Andrzejewski’s fifth of the season, and improved head coach Anson Dorrance’s Tar Heels to 11-1 this season and 4-0 inside the ACC.

Clemson fell to 8-2-1 overall with the loss and 2-2 against conference opponents.

The Tigers managed only two shots on goal for the entire game thanks to another strong defensive effort from UNC, which recorded its 10th shutout in 12 games on the year.
