The train that is the top-ranked UNC women’s lacrosse team kept on rolling Thursday night, as the Tar Heels rolled to a 19-7 victory on the road over the Louisville Cardinals.

Senior attacker Jamie Ortega added to her all-time UNC goal-scoring record with a team-high seven goals in the game, just one shy of her career-high for a single game.

The Tar Heels also received three goals and two assists from Scottie Rose Growney, while Caitlyn Wurzburger and Ally Mastroianni each added two goals apiece as well.

By halftime, UNC was ahead 10-4 on the scoreboard and had already taken any doubt out of the final outcome.

UNC moves to 8-0 overall and 4-0 inside the ACC this season. This also represents the program’s 15th consecutive victory dating back to last season.

Louisville dropped to 4-3 overall and 0-2 against ACC opponents with the loss.
