UNC sophomore forward Janelle Bailey was named Friday as one of 10 finalists for this year’s Lisa Leslie Award, which is given annually to the top center in Division I women’s basketball.

Bailey–a former McDonald’s All-American from Charlotte–leads the Tar Heels with averages of 16.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per game this season. Both numbers rank in the top five in the ACC.

She has scored in double figures in 24 of UNC’s 26 games and has posted 11 double-doubles.
