William & Mary guard Eva Hodgson revealed Monday on Twitter that she is transferring to UNC for her final two years of collegiate eligibility.

Hodgson sat out the 2020-21 season due to COVID-19 concerns, but started all 60 games she played in during the two years prior.

She was named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Year in 2018-19, then was an All-CAA First Team choice as a sophomore.

During that fantastic sophomore campaign, the 5-foot-9 Hodgson set a new school record by averaging 20.7 points per game and was the only player in America to shoot at least 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range and 90 percent from the free throw line.

Hodgson also graduated from William & Mary in three years and will be pursuing her MBA at UNC.

She joins recent Princeton transfer Carlie Littlefield in providing backcourt depth for next season, as well as the nation’s No. 2 ranked recruiting class.
