UNC junior Georgina Summers was selected Tuesday as the ACC’s Fencer of the Week following an outstanding performance at the Duke Meet in Durham this past Sunday.
Summers posted a combined record of 8-2 in matches against No. 2 Northwestern, No. 6 Duke, No. 4 Penn State and Air Force.
The England native will now help the Tar Heels prepare for the upcoming ACC Championship on Feb. 23-24 at Boston College.
