A total of four UNC fencing athletes earned All-ACC Academic honors on Thursday, with seniors Wei Chee Chen and Jackie Litynski representing the women’s team and sophomores James Mulligan and Beni Rabinowitz representing the men’s team.
All-ACC Academic honors take into account both athletic and academic performance from the 2019-20 school year. Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career.
Chen is a business administration major who earned her second All-ACC Academic honor, while Litynski–an environmental sciences/public policy double major–completes her career having earned the honor in four straight years.
An information sciences major, Rabinowitz has now earned All-ACC Academic honors in each of his first two seasons at the collegiate level. Mulligan, meanwhile, picked up the honor for the first time in his career.
