The UNC women’s basketball program revealed a surprise schedule change on Saturday, which resulted from Sunday’s scheduled game at No. 2 Louisville being postponed due to the Cardinals’ issues with COVID-19.
Head coach Courtney Banghart’s team will now travel to play Miami on Monday at 2 p.m. The Hurricanes were scheduled to play Duke on Sunday before the Blue Devils shut down their program for contact tracing.
UNC is 5-1 this season (0-1 ACC). Miami is 3-1 (0-1 ACC)
The originally scheduled game between the Tar Heels and Hurricanes on Jan. 10 will now be held in Chapel Hill since this game takes place in Coral Gables.
UNC’s home game against Syracuse on Dec. 17 was also pushed back by two hours, and will now start at 8 p.m.
