As the UNC women’s basketball team prepares to try and make its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2015, its schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 regular season was released on Tuesday.

The Tar Heels will take on 13 teams that qualified for last year’s tournament, with five of those squads coming from outside the ACC.

A trip to Elon on Nov. 6 represents UNC’s season opener–the team’s first time opening on the road since 2000.

From there, the Tar Heels will return to Carmichael Arena to face Kent State (Nov. 9) and VCU (Nov. 14) before another road game at Colorado on Nov. 18.

Over the week of Thanksgiving, UNC is scheduled to play in the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands–with games against UCLA (Nov. 22), USF (Nov. 23) and Kentucky (Nov. 24).

The ACC/Big Ten Challenge will then send the Tar Heels to Columbus for another tough road test against Ohio State on Nov. 29.

Home games against Maine (Dec. 2), UNC-Wilmington (Dec. 5) and UNC-Greensboro (Dec. 9) will follow the matchup against the Buckeyes.

Non-conference play will then conclude with the team’s annual trip to Myrtle Beach–where it will face Rice (Dec. 18) and Auburn (Dec. 20)–and a home game vs. Howard on Dec. 28.

ACC competition begins on Jan. 3 for UNC, when it travels to face Lousiville.

Along with that game against the Cardinals, the Tar Heels will also play on the road against: Syracuse (Jan. 13), Miami (Jan. 20), Virginia Tech (Jan. 24), NC State (Feb. 3), Clemson (Feb. 10), Pitt (Feb. 14) and Duke (Mar. 3).

Conference opponents visiting Chapel Hill this year include: Florida State (Jan. 6), Wake Forest (Jan. 17), Notre Dame (Jan. 27), Georgia Tech (Jan. 31), Duke (Feb. 7), Virginia (Feb. 17), Boston College (Feb. 21) and NC State (Feb. 24).

This year’s ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament will be held from March 6-10 in Greensboro.
