After spending last week on the outside looking in, UNC rejoined the Associated Press College Football Top 25 rankings on Sunday–checking in at No. 20.

The Tar Heels–who were ranked No. 17 in the College Football Playoff rankings last week–are coming off of a 49-9 victory over Western Carolina.

They have been ranked as high as No. 5 by the AP this season, but fell out of the poll completely following the loss to Notre Dame on Nov. 27.

Alabama held on to the No. 1 spot in the rankings, followed closely by Notre Dame, Ohio State, Clemson and Texas A&M.

The rest of the top 10 consists of: No. 6 Florida, No. 7 Cincinnati, No. 8 Indiana, No. 9 Miami and No. 10 Iowa State.

Notre Dame, Clemson, Miami and UNC represent all four of the ACC’s ranked teams, although NC State had the most votes (98) of any school outside the top 25.

UNC will also have a huge test on the road this Saturday, when they close the regular season at Miami.
