According to a vote of the league’s 12 head coaches released on Monday, UNC is the favorite to take home the 2018 ACC men’s soccer championship.
The Tar Heels received 10 of the 12 first-place votes, with Wake Forest and Louisville each receiving one apiece.
Last season saw UNC advance to its second straight NCAA College Cup appearance before ultimately bowing out in the semifinals against Indiana–making it 17 consecutive years that the ACC has had at least one representative in soccer’s version of the Final Four.
Regular season play gets going for the No. 3 ranked Tar Heels on Aug. 24 when they face East Tennessee State in Greensboro.
