UNC announced earlier this week that early-enrollee freshman defensive lineman Kedrick Bingley-Jones underwent surgery for an unspecified lower body injury he suffered during the spring.

Bingley-Jones was ranked as the No. 15 defensive lineman recruit in the country according to 24/7 Sports, and the No. 150 player regardless of position. On National Signing Day in December, UNC head coach Mack Brown raved about Bingley-Jones–calling him one of the best defensive linemen in the nation.

Prior to committing at UNC, Bingley-Jones de-committed from Florida and opened up his recruitment.

He is expected to make a full recovery.
