The pairings and schedule for the 2017 ACC Baseball Tournament were released Sunday morning, with UNC earning the No. 2 seed.
Despite winning the ACC Coastal Division, the third-ranked Tar Heels (44-11, 23-7 ACC) finished a half-game behind the top-seeded Louisville Cardinals (46-9, 23-6 ACC) –who won the Atlantic Division–in the overall conference standings.
Louisville will also be playing in its home city at Louisville Slugger Ballpark, which is a direct result of the league’s decision to move the tournament out of Durham in the wake of HB2.
The event is comprised of 12 teams split into four different pools of three teams apiece.
UNC will be joined by No. 7 seed NC State and No. 11 seed Boston College. The Tar Heels will face Boston College on Wednesday (3 p.m.) before taking on the Wolfpack on Friday (7 p.m.).
Once pool play is completed, the squads with the best records in each pool will advance to a four-team single-elimination bracket.
The semifinals will take place on Saturday, with the championship game set for Sunday at noon.
