After nearly 10 hours of baseball on Saturday at Boshamer Stadium, the 17th-ranked UNC baseball team defeated the Boston College Eagles in a doubleheader that saw the Tar Heels win each game with walk-off hits in extra innings.

It was the first time in the program’s storied history that it has pulled off that feat.

Michael Busch’s walk-off single propelled UNC (28-11, 12-8 ACC) to an 8-7 victory in the first game, while freshman Aaron Sabato’s walk-off double in the second game lifted the Tar Heels to an 11-10 win.

Freshman Danny Serretti played a huge role in the second game as well, hitting his first career grand slam and finishing with a career-high six RBIs.

Over the course of the two games, the teams used a total of 24 pitchers and threw nearly 1,000 total pitches.
