The fifth-ranked UNC baseball team completed a three-game sweep over the Xavier Muskeeters on Sunday at Boshamer Stadium with a 14-3 win that improves the Tar Heels to 3-0 so far this season and extends their home winning streak to a whopping 21 games.

Dylan Harris hit a solo home run to lead off the game, and the scoring didn’t stop much the rest of the way. Brandon Martorano added a two-run homer in the third inning to put UNC ahead 5-1, but it was Xavier itself that did the most to aid the Tar Heel offense.

The Muskeeters (0-9) walked an insane total of 16 Tar Heel batters on Sunday. It was most notable in the sixth inning when UNC tallied five runs without registering a hit–walking five times and having three players hit by pitch.

Hansen Butler earned the pitching win after coming in for starter Austin Bergner midway through the fifth inning.

This also marks the first time UNC has scored at least eight runs in the first three games since 2006.
