A trio of Tar Heels were named to the Academic All-ACC Team on Tuesday, joining an established group of 33 athletes who excelled both on the field and in the classroom this past season.
Justin Anderson, Timmy Kelly and Ryan Macri each represented UNC on the squad, which also included 11 All-Americans this year.
In order to be eligible, players must have a 3.0 grade point average in their most recent semester and over the course of their cumulative college career.
Anderson is an Exercise and Sport Science major who scored 10 goals and dished out nine assists last season as a sophomore.
Kelly, a rising senior studying political science, had 21 goals and seven assists in 2018–while Macri started all 14 games, and graduated this past spring with a degree in business administration.
