A total of seven Tar Heels earned All-American status on Tuesday in teams selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine, led by First Team attacker Chris Gray.

Gray led the Tar Heels in scoring with 42 goals and 35 assists during the regular season, then added four goals and two assists in UNC’s win over Monmouth this past Saturday–a first-round NCAA Tournament matchup. He was also named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year.

Tanner Cook, Will Bowen, William Perry and Connor Maher each earned Second Team All-America honors, while Justin Anderson and Matt Wright were named honorable mentions.

UNC is the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and boasts a record of 12-2 along with the ACC championship.

The Tar Heels face Rutgers on Saturday in a quarterfinal matchup hosted at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY.
