After being named ACC champions for the first time since 2017, the UNC men’s lacrosse team was awarded the No. 1 overall seed on Sunday for the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
The Tar Heels will host Monmouth in the first round on Saturday in what will also be their first NCAA Tournament game since 2017 as well.
UNC posted a record of 11-2 this season behind star attacker Chris Gray. The Tar Heels are seeking the program’s sixth NCAA title and first since 2016.
All five ACC schools were selected to this year’s NCAA Tournament.
