A 4-2 win over No. 17 Michigan by the UNC softball team on Sunday in Chapel Hill gave the Tar Heels their third victory over a ranked opponent through just eight total games this season.

Brittany Pickett earned her fourth win on the mound, while UNC (5-3) broke a 2-2 tie with runs in the fifth and seventh innings to seal the deal.

Michigan racked up eight hits compared to just four for the Tar Heels, but ultimately fell to 4-5 with the loss.
