Fresh off a win over Oklahoma in a five-set thriller on Friday, the UNC volleyball team was swept in three straight sets on Saturday by the No. 24 Colorado Buffaloes (14-25, 18-25, 20-25).
The match was played in Boulder as part of the Buffs Invitational event, which includes UNC, Colorado, Oklahoma and Georgia.
Katharine Esterley posted a career-high nine kills for the Tar Heels (3-4), but that would be nowhere near enough to upset Colorado on its home court.
The Buffaloes limited UNC star Destiny Cox to just three kills, while posting an impressive .326 hitting percentage on the offensive end.
UNC also committed 17 errors in the match.
