Another game, another dominant victory for the top-ranked UNC women’s lacrosse team, as the Tar Heels flexed their collective muscles on Saturday in a 21-9 victory over No. 11 Boston College at Dorrance Field.
Jamie Ortega scored six goals to extend her lead on the program’s all-time record, while Tayler Warehime, Ally Mastroianni, Scottie Rose Growney and Kerrigan Miller each added three goals apiece.
The Tar Heels racked up 41 total shots compared to just 20 for Boston College (3-1, 0-1 ACC), and outscored the Eagles 11-2 in the second half.
With the win, UNC is now 6-0 this season (2-0 ACC) and has won 13 consecutive games dating back to the shortened 2020 campaign.
“It was really great to see the offense get up and running,” head coach Jenny Levy said afterwards. “We had multiple threats, multiple scorers. But really it was such a team game. We had eight different scorers plus Katie Hoeg’s assists. Just a really hard group to defend if everybody’s locked and loaded. That’s what we’ve been working on.”
