The ACC announced Friday that the women’s basketball game between UNC and Pitt originally scheduled for Jan. 3 will now take place on Feb. 14.
Issues related to COVID-19 protocols within the Pitt program forced the postponement, a harsh reality that comes with playing during a pandemic.
The Tar Heels were supposed to play Virginia on Feb. 14, but the Cavaliers recently joined Duke in canceling the remainder of their season due to health and safety concerns.
UNC is 7-4 overall and 2-4 inside the ACC this season, while Pitt has gone 3-3 overall and 1-2 against conference opponents.
