ACC men’s tennis action on Saturday in Chestnut Hill saw UNC cruise to a 6-1 victory over the Boston College Eagles, the Tar Heels’ seventh victory in eight tries against conference opponents this season.

The Tar Heels claimed the doubles point with ease, before extending their lead to 6-0 with victories in each of the first five singles matches.

UNC improves to 16-4 this season overall with the win, never once finding itself in trouble during the course of the day.

Boston College (7-10, 0-8 ACC) earned its only point of the day when UNC freshman Mac Kiger came up short in a 10-point tiebreaker on Court Six against Sean Mullins–a method used in place of a third set to shorten the overall match since the Tar Heels had already clinched victory with ease.
