The top-ranked UNC men’s tennis team rolled to a 7-0 shutout victory over Wofford on Wednesday in Chapel Hill, in what was the Tar Heels’ first outdoor home match of the season.
With the win, UNC moves to 11-0 on the year and picks up its 13th consecutive victory overall in a streak dating back to last season.
The Tar Heels won the doubles point to begin the match against Wofford (6-6), then clinched the team win with dominant singles victories from Brian Cernoch (6-1, 6-0), William Blumberg (6-3, 6-0) and Mac Kiger (6-1, 6-0).
UNC would also go on to win the remaining three singles contests to complete the shutout.
