A pair of Tar Heels were recognized Wednesday as part of Top Drawer Soccer’s Postseason Women’s Best XI teams, after helping UNC reach the NCAA Championship Game over the last few weeks.

Senior defender Julia Ashley was named to the Best XI First Team, while attacker Brianna Pinto made the Freshman Best XI squad.

Ashley finished the year with a team-high six goals and 10 assists, including the game-winning goal in UNC’s NCAA Semifinal victory over previously undefeated Georgetown.

Pinto, meanwhile, tied Ashley with six goals and added eight assists of her own this season.
