As the UNC men’s lacrosse team looks to rebound from a 2018 season where it went 7-7 and failed to qualify for both the ACC and NCAA tournaments, it appears the Tar Heels will have plenty of reinforcements heading their way.

With Inside Lacrosse magazine releasing its annual recruiting issue on Monday, five incoming UNC freshmen were listed in the top 50 of the publication’s Power 100 rankings.

Leading the way are a pair of top 10 recruits, defender Will Bowen (Boston College High School, No. 2 overall) and attacker Jacob Kelly (Calvert College High School in Maryland, No. 6 overall).

Defender Evan Egan (Torrey Pines High School in California, No. 23 overall) represents the third, and final, of UNC’s five-star recruits for the Class of 2018.

Other incoming Tar Heels ranked in the top 50 include: attacker Nicky Solomon (Centennial High School in Georgia, No. 29 overall) and attacker Brian Cameron (Bishop Guertin High School in New Hampshire, No. 35 overall).

All of these players–plus the rest of UNC’s 2018 recruiting class–will join the Tar Heels for the upcoming 2019 season this spring.
