****Duke Energy is reporting that most of the outages have been restored as of 2 p.m. Roughly 135 customers remained without power as of last update.****

Duke Energy is reporting that nearly 1,500 Hillsborough customers are without power as on Monday afternoon. The utility is reporting the outage was caused by a falling tree or limb damaging power equipment.

Crews are on site as of 1:15 p.m. after the outage was reported at 12:30 p.m., according to Duke Energy.

The utility estimates power will be restored before 4 p.m.
