UNC sophomore Erin Matson continues to add to her long list of accomplishments, as she was recognized Tuesday as the ACC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for the third time through the season’s first four weeks.
The Tar Heels improved to 7-0 this season with a pair of 4-1 victories over Louisville and Appalachian State this past week. Matson scored twice in each game, while also dishing out an assist against the Mountaineers to bring her weekly point total to nine.
Matson leads UNC in scoring this season with 10 goals and seven assists.
Next on the schedule for the Tar Heels is a game against Virginia on Friday in Charlottesville.
