UNC sophomore Erin Matson continues to stake her claim on the ACC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week Award, as the league revealed on Tuesday that she has earned the honor for the fifth time this season.

Matson had a goal in the Tar Heels’ 3-1 win over Syracuse on Saturday, before scoring a hat trick and dishing out an assist in the team’s 4-1 win over No. 21 Albany on Sunday. Both games were played on the road.

Through 12 games, Matson has 20 goals and 10 assists–a total good enough to lead the nation in scoring. Her 4.17 points per game is tops in the country and more than a whole point per game more than second place.

Her scoring has helped guide UNC to a 12-0 record so far this season, and a win streak of 35 games overall.
