UNC senior Brittany Pickett was selected to the Preseason All-ACC softball team by the league’s head coaches, the league office announced Thursday.

A pitcher from Indian Trail, North Carolina, Pickett was a First Team All-ACC selection each year from 2017-2019.

In 23.2 innings pitched last season, the all-time UNC record holder in saves struck out 23 batters before her year was cut short due to injury.

The Tar Heels were picked to finish fifth in the ACC in 2021, behind Florida State, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Duke.
