UNC pitcher Brittany Pickett was one of 30 players named Tuesday as candidates for this year’s Senior CLASS Award for softball.

Eligibility for the award is dependent upon a player being a senior at the Division I level and having notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

Pickett is a three-time First Team All-ACC performer with a career ERA of 2.02. In addition, she also hit seven home runs at the plate last season.

She is one of just three ACC players named as a candidate for the Senior CLASS award.
