The Jacksonville Jaguars agreed Saturday to sign former UNC running back Elijah Hood to their 90-man preseason roster, giving him a chance to compete to make the team’s final regular season roster.

A former seventh-round draft pick by the Oakland Raiders, Hood spent last season with the Carolina Panthers. A knee injury in the preseason forced him to miss all of last season, however.

Prior to joining the NFL, Hood rushed for 2,580 yards at UNC and was a Second Team All-ACC selection in 2015 after running for 1,463 yards and 17 touchdowns–the second most yards in a single season by any Tar Heel in history.
