Tre Boston is on his way back home.

The former UNC defensive back signed a one-year, $3 million deal to return to the Carolina Panthers on Thursday according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Boston spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers and the Arizona Cardinals, respectively, after playing out the first three years of his career in Charlotte with the Panthers.

Coming out of UNC, Boston was a fourth-round draft choice by the Panthers in 2014.

For his career, he has tallied up 262 tackles and 11 interceptions.
