The UNC men’s golf team earned numerous honors from the ACC on Thursday, as five Tar Heels were named All-ACC and head coach Andrew DiBitetto was named Co-ACC Coach of the Year.

For DiBitetto, it’s the third year in a row he has won the award, making him just the second coach in league history to do so. DiBitetto’s Tar Heels have won seven tournaments this season – tying a program record – and won the ACC championship for the first time since 2006. Carolina is the No. 1 seed in the NCAA’s Chapel Hill Regional, which will be contested next week.

Meanwhile, the entire Carolina starting lineup of Austin Greaser, David Ford, Dylan Menante, Peter Fountain and Maxwell Ford made the All-ACC team. It’s the first time in ACC history one team has placed five members on the All-ACC team.

Greaser earned the honor for the fourth time in his career, becoming just the second Tar Heel ever to do so. David Ford, the 2023 ACC Player of the Year, finished third in the balloting for that award this season on his way to All-ACC honors. Maxwell Ford, David’s twin brother, is making his All-ACC debut after spending two seasons at Georgia.

Menante, who transferred to UNC from Pepperdine before the 2022-23 season, is making his second consecutive appearance on the All-ACC team. Fountain earned All-ACC and All-America honors as a freshman in 2021, and is the first Tar Heel to be named All-ACC as a freshman and a senior since Ben Griffin did so in 2015 and 2018.

Carolina begins play in the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional on Monday at Finley Golf Club. Admission is free.
