The UNC men’s and women’s golf teams are both postseason-bound. The women’s team earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA’s Norman Regional, while the men’s team will be the No. 2 seed in the Urbana Regional.

The regional appearance is the fourth in a row for the women’s team, which will be joined by No. 1 seed Stanford, No. 2 Northwestern, No. 4 Michigan State, No. 5 Duke, No. 6 Oklahoma and six other teams at Norman’s Jimmie Austin Golf Club. Six individuals will also compete in the regional, which will be contested May 5-7. The top five teams after three rounds of stroke play and the best individual from a non-advancing team will advance to the NCAA Championship, which begins May 16 in California. Last season, UNC qualified for the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2017.

Joining the men’s team in Urbana are No. 1 seed Oklahoma State, No. 3 Illinois, No. 4 Texas Tech, No. 5 Long Beach State and seven other teams, including No. 11 seed NC State. UNC has advanced out of the regionals seven consecutive times, which is the fourth-longest active streak of any program in the country. The regional will be contested May 12-14, with the top five teams advancing to the NCAA Championship. The men’s championship, also in California, begins May 23.
