UPDATE: Chapel Hill Police shared an alert 8:20 p.m. saying Joshua Chung was safely located around South Elliott Road.
The Chapel Hill Police Department issued an urgent call for the community’s help on Thursday after receiving a report of a missing 14-year-old.
Police said in an alert sent at 7:12 p.m. that Joshua Chung, a Chapel Hill resident with Down Syndrome, was last seen around 4:20 p.m. in the area of Sage Road. There is concern for Chung’s wellbeing because of the freezing temperatures forecasted for Thursday and slick conditions left by the week’s snow.

Chung has dark hair and was last seen wearing a puffy orange jacket, a black hoodie, blue and green pajama pants, and dark blue Nike shoes.
